Founder and principal consultant Ben Lumsden is passionate about total worker health, and the relationship between human performance and safety. Ben brings a unique background of clinical acumen and musculoskeletal injury triage experience as a therapist with nationally-recognized expertise as an ergonomist and safety professional. Ben is a registered/licensed occupational therapist (OTR/L) and holds the gold standard in certifications for both ergonomics (Certified Professional Ergonomist – CPE) through Board Certification in Professional Ergonomics, and safety (Certified Safety Professional – CSP) through Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He has held numerous roles in ergonomics, safety, continuous improvement and operations support, and consulted across industries, including utilities, government, healthcare, education, technology, transportation, and manufacturing. He has managed large enterprise injury management programs, and conducted thousands of ergonomics and risk evaluations, both on-site and virtually. Ben has presented nationally at safety, risk, and disability insurance conferences and has also been a guest lecturer of ergonomics at Pacific University School of Occupational Therapy.
